Changes & Updates for 2012
It has been quite some time since we have done any updates on our site and the time is approaching for some major changes.
We are planning to change our focus a little bit. Originally we had focused on hosting special sermons relating specifially to Biblical topics that are seldom addressed outside of Anabaptist circles. As time went on and requests were made, we began to host the weekly sermons for certain churches and this has worked well to some extent, however many churches also host their own sermons and do not need the service so it was a little more difficult to incorporate those into the site.
So looking forward, this is the direction we plan to take and hopefully have implemanted in stages through the next year. First, instead of offering to host weekly sermons for churches, we intead to become more of a directory and will republish the RSS/Podcast feeds for Anabaptist churches that adhere to similar statements of faith. For those that are still looking for a solution to host their sermons, we are now offering custom websites for their individual churches where they can do much more than just host their sermons. These sites are built on the open source Content Management System (CMS), Joomla!
In addition to the Podcast directories for the churches, we want to add a specific podcast for Anabaptist Sermons that will feature specific sermons posted on a regular basis. This is will allow us to build an archive of Biblical teachng that will be helpful to those within and also outside of our churches in grasping a better understanding of what the Word of God teaches about our faith and how we are to live out this faith.
The third aspect will be to point to many more resources that might be helpful in strengthening our walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Christ.
I welcome your comments and suggestions as we move forward. Be patient, and pray for me as I attempt to redeem the time wisely.

Invitation To ChurchesWelcome to AnabaptistSermons.org. We are now extending an invitation to all those churches adhering to the 1963 or earlier Mennonite Confession of Faith to host your MP3 audio sermons, free of charge. We are wanting to provide a wide variety of sermons to the greater public and also to our own missionaries away from their home church. This can be a great means of keeping in touch with the people "back home". Email me through the Contact Us page if you are interested and I will provide you with the specs that the files need to be saved to and set up your own page. You or your soundman can then upload your weekly sermons directly to this site. Last Updated (Saturday, 10 April 2010 13:55) Welcome To the Revised Anabaptist Sermons.org
Welcome! It has been a long time coming that I've been wanting to redesign this site and it is finally happening... SLOWLY. Time limitations have a strange way of controlling the process in these matters. I guess it is more a matter of priorities, because we always have time for what we deem most important, ie sleeping, eating, our day job etc. So with owning our own business and 5 young children, yes this does drop this site lower in priorities. :) So enough with the excuses... I am really excited about what Last Updated (Saturday, 10 April 2010 12:18) |
